Yang Xiaoping, known as the "Queen of the Far East", was born in Shanghai in 1944. When she was three years old, she moved to Xihu, Changhua, Taiwan with her family. His father originally ran a theater in Xihu. He was admitted to the Lantiankang Band at the age of 17. She also formed the Yang Xiaoping Dance Troupe.
