Yoshikawa works for a freight forwarding service. When his boss, Takizawa, introduces him to Yuriko, it’s love at first sight. They get married and spend their days happily together until Yuriko admits to being Takizawa’s lover. Yoshikawa is unwilling to lose his job and wife, so he forgives Yuriko; however, Yuriko is randomly killed by an unknown man. After the incident, Yoshikawa is a mess, but his former high school classmate-turned-yakuza, Takahashi helps look after him. Every woman that Yoshikawa meets appears to him as Yuriko. After committing a certain crime, Yoshikawa gets a sentence of two years in prison. Upon release, he gets a job from Takahashi as a debt collector. He goes to collect money from a woman named Mizuki who he’s astonished to find looks exactly like Yuriko.
