Tokuyuki Matsutake

Matsutake Tokuyuki (松竹徳幸) is an animator, animation director and character designer. Tokuyuki started his animation career as an in-betweener for Studio Deen on Oishinbo in 1988, and in the following year, he started his apprenticeship under Atsuko Nakajima on Ranma 1/2. Later on, Tokuyuki worked for many companies as a freelance animator, with a large presence in Studio Pierrot and Production IG works. As an animator, he is known for his sense of timing, which gives his animation often a stop-motion like feeling.
